Ingredients:
Beetroot: 2 medium-sized
Carrot (optional): 1 medium-sized
Mustard powder: 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Water: 1 liter
Steps to prepare:
Wash and peel the beetroot, and cut them into thin slices.
In a clean glass jar add mustard powder, red chilli powder, and salt.
Add the beetroot and carrot sticks to the jar.
Pour water into the jar, leaving a little space on the top, and mix well.
Cover the jar with a cloth or leave the lid loose.
Let it ferment for 4–5 days in a warm and sunny area.
After that have a taste test and refrigerate in a jar.
