3 Indian Students Killed on Spot in Accident After Car Tyre Comes Off in Canada  

New Brunswick: Three Indian students from Punjab lost their lives on the spot in a road accident after their car’s tyre came off causing the driver to veer off the highway at Mill Cove in Canada’s New Brunswick.

The passengers, including a driver and the students, were thrown off as soon as the car veered off the highway. The accident occurred on July 27 at approximately 9:35 pm on Highway 2.

Two siblings from Malaud village in Ludhiana – Harman Somal (23), who worked in a daycare in Moncton, and Navjot Somal (19) who went to Canada on a study visa a few months ago – lost their lives.

The third passenger who lost her life was 23-year-old Rashmdeep Kaur daughter of Bhupinder Singh and Suchet Kaur, both government teachers, from Samana in the Sangrur district of Punjab.

The driver, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Further probe is on.
