New Delhi: The COVID pandemic destroyed many businesses but recently UFC president revealed that COVID benefited UFC’s business. Many businesses have been shut in the COVID pandemic but UFC enjoys a great hike in their business.

UFC has a jump in revenues year after year as they are pulling sponsorship deals, sales, and promotions. Many factors are involved in the success of UFC and the sport is growing day by day.

White revealed that during COVID, the UFC fan base grew around 68 percent and there is no sport on TV except UFC during COVID. This factor grew the business of UFC on the high sky.

“Fights that should have been doing 300,000 buys were doing a million. Our fan base grew something like 68 percent during COVID.” White said.

In the last UFC event, UFC produced a live gate of over $16 million, which is the second-highest live gate in UFC. UFC Fight Night events are also growing faster as a recent UFC card in Edmonton was sold out with over 16,000 fans in the arena.

UFC is also expanding its business to Middle east countries. Abu Dhabi is the hub for UFC events in the Middle East and White is dealing with Saudi Arabia to evolve their business in every part of the world.

The next major project for UFC is to negotiate a new TV deal that could change the combat sports world. Recently, WWE closed the deal with Netflix as they will air their episodes on Netflix.

Petr Yan stands tall against Deiveson Figueiredo

Petr Yan won back-to-back fights after losing three consecutive fights in the bantamweight division. Yan defeated Deiveson Figueiredo via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night in Macau, China on November 23, Saturday. Figueiredo’s streak of three win have been broke by Yan and now Yan will be looking for the title shot in the bantamweight division.
