WATCH: CSK unveils new Airbus with livery inspired by yellow-blue franchise colours

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings put the fans in a frenzy after releasing a video on social media showcasing a new Airbus with a new livery inspired by the franchise colours of Yellow and Blue. The Yellow Army fans can’t keep calm after the latest unveiling from the five-time champions.

The mesmerising montage showcases the video of the Airbus A320 Neo of Etihad Airways from several angles. The flying beast is painted in Yellow and Blue with a Chennai Super Kings crest attached to various parts of its massive body frame.

The video was posted with a caption that read – ‘Yellove takes flight. Including our newly themed livery’.

The new Airbus belongs to the world-renowned Etihad Airways, which became the official sponsor of the Chennai Super Kings earlier this year. The partnership was announced at a gala event hosted in Chennai in the attendance of ex-CSK players Deepak Chahar and Simarjeet Singh – who belonged to the CSK camp at the time of the event but were released by the franchise in the auction pool on the retention day.

Fan frenzy: Speculation surrounds CSK’s use of the new Airbus

Following the unveiling of the Airbus, fans started speculating whether CSK players will travel across the country during the 2025 edition, with the new Airbus acting as a transporting vehicle for the squad. However, that possibility seems far-fetched as Etihad Airways – the UAE-based airways which is one of the biggest in the world – only operates between Chennai and Abu Dhabi.

It’s highly likely that the CSK-themed aeroplane will be used for passengers travelling between Chennai and Abu Dhabi or vice-versa.

Meanwhile, CSK did some good business in the two-day mega-auction on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. The Super Kings bought Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmad, who was acquired at Rs. 10 crore, as their most expensive pick and also went big for veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, at Rs 9.75 crore, who will make a comeback at the Yellow Den after 10 years.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) unveiled a CSK-branded Airbus, painted in the team’s signature yellow and blue. The unveiling has generated significant excitement among fans.  Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
