New Delhi: What a night it has been for Bournemouth and their star forward, Justin Kluivert as the Dutch international scored his first ever hattrick for the Cherries. He also becomes the first ever player to score three penalties in the same Premier League match. The 25-year-old has already scored five times this season and his involvement to this Bournemouth side has truly been astonishing. The last time a player in the English top division scored a hat-trick of penalties was Ken Barnes of Manchester City, who did it against Everton in 1957, 67 years ago.

There was immediate drama as Evanilson grabbed hold of a long ball that the Cherries threw up front. Wolverhampton’s Gomes pulled him down from behind as he entered the box. The referee quickly indicated that it was a penalty for the Cherries and it was Kluivert who stepped up to bury it into the right corner of the net to make it 1-0 in just the third minute of the game.
Evanilson was coming up behind Sa to try and knock the ball away from him. The keeper then managed to clip Evanilson’s ankles square on, and although though Sa probably didn’t see him, it appeared to be inclined towards a decision of spot kick for the visitors and it was confirmed after a check, as Peter Bankes pointed to the spot for yet another penalty for the Cherries. Kluivert plugged it home for the second time this evening to make it 3-1 in just the 18th minute of an exciting clash at Molineux.
Finally, Kluivert got yet another chance to complete a hat-trick of penalties in the 74th minute of the game as it was Evanilson yet again who earned the pen for the Cherries. Jose Sa was left with no other option but to commit, and it was a horrific tackle by the keeper after Dawson played a poor pass. Kluivert stepped up and on his 50th appearance for Bournemouth, he stole the show by beating Sa from the penalty spot for the third time to mark this landmark appearance with a unique hat-trick.
