Rainbow Lit Fest 2024: Date, venue, schedule and ticket booking details

Mumbai: The much-awaited Rainbow Lit Fest 2024 is scheduled for Dec 7-8 to be held at Gulmohar Park Club in New Delhi. The event will feature a diverse lineup of speakers and performers from locations ranging from Imphal in Manipur, India, to Vancouver in Canada.

This year, the festival will explore a range of themes, including identity, gender, sexuality, feminism, desire, equality, cinema, mental health, public policy, power structures, and law.

The Rainbow Lit Fest fosters inclusivity by bringing together diverse identities and communities to find common ground. The festival aspires to create more informed narratives about diversity, blending alternative and mainstream perspectives. It features various forms of expression, including prose, poetry, art, music, dance, films, talks, and discussions.

The LGBTQIA+ community does not exist in isolation but faces the same challenges as women and other marginalised identities, such as patriarchy, stereotypical media portrayals, and the class and caste systems. The Fest aims to address these issues by sharing stories and ideas that contribute to a broader, more informed understanding of diversity, existence, and coexistence.

This year’s event will be a mix of in-person sessions, performances, and film screenings aimed at fostering open dialogue and understanding. With a diverse lineup of speakers and performers from across the globe, the festival offers something for everyone. From thought-provoking discussions about queer parenting to a deep dive into LGBTQ+ history, Rainbow Lit Fest 2024 promises to be a transformative experience for all attendees.
