New Delhi: The draw for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be held in Miami on December 5th, 2024. This will be a new edition of the tournament, as 32 teams have qualified from six confederations and continents. The tournament is set to be held in the United States between June 15th and July 13th, 2025.
Across 12 venues of the United States, 63 games will be played during the tournament. FIFA had launched the tournament back in 2000 as an annual for six to eight teams. The teams in this version will be the most successful sides from all of the six international confederations.
From each nation, only two teams have qualified, which results in many big clubs missing out due to this, with the exception of more than two clubs from the same country winning their continent’s Champions League, as is the case with Brazil and Mexico. There have been a lot of complaints about the new cramped schedule featuring a lot of games and a burden on the football calendar as well.
