Last season, Bellingham, along with Toni Kroos, Vinicius Jr, Antonio Rudiger and Dani Carvajal, had helped Real lift last season’s La Liga and Champions League, with Toni Kroos retiring from football after playing for Germany at Euro 2024. Haaland, Ederson, Kevin de Bruyne, along with Balon d’Or winner Rodri, had been part of helping City lift the Premier League title for the fourth time in a row. Rodri and Carvajal were also part of Spain’s squad that lifted the Euro 2024.
In fact, City had also lifted and won the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup to complete the treble. Though both City and Madrid’s form have been inconsistent this season, they are at the top of the table in their respective domestic league. Both teams haven’t had great success in the Champions League season.
For the voting of the season, more than 28,000 footballers across 70 countries vote for men’s and women’s teams. The men’s teams’ standard of voting is based on performances between August 2023 and July 2024.
Manchester City players including Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne make it Fifpro World XI with Jude Bellingham receiving most votes amongst all. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
