New Delhi: Solo Sikoa will challenge Cody Rhodes at the 2024 SummerSlam in the Undisputed WWE Championship, the World Wrestling Entertainment confirmed on Thursday (Wednesday according to USA timings). This will be a high-octane clash for the fans, one that will include thrill, unlimited entertainment, and most importantly fervor.
This will be a blockbuster showdown between The American Nightmare Rhodes and the professed Sikoa, who claims to be the next Tribal Chief of The Bloodline. The WWE’s official social media platforms announced the heated rivalry between Rhodes and Sikoa, where Rhodes will be defending his Universal title.

Cody Rhodes, a two-time Intercontinental champion, agreed to the bout by end of last Friday’s SmackDown event. This will continue the intense duel between Rhodes and the members of Bloodline after they were involved in a brawl at the WWE SmackDown on June 28. It was an epic 6-man brawl with Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu beating Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens.
The last time the two grappled against one other was at the Money in the Bank earlier this month. Sikoa pinned Rhodes to secure victory for The Bloodline. Sikoa will boost into confidence coming into the Undisputed WWE Championship bout.
When will Roman Reigns return to action?
Reports from Times of India has attributed to rumors of former Undisputed Champion of WWE, Roman Reigns, might return to the fold ahead of SummerSlam. The 39-year-old is likely to make his return on SmackDown as he has been off the television action after his WrestleMania loss to Cody Rhodes, which ended the 1,316-day rule of Reigns. The former Tribal Chief was reportedly said to take a break from WWE’s Premium Live Event: Backlash.
Despite their on-screen differences, Rhodes acclaimed Reigns to be an exception champion. In conversation with the McAfee Show, Rhodes termed his rival as ‘exceptional champion’ and aimed to be the ‘half the champion Roman Reigns was.’
