New Delhi: FIFA has officially announced the host countries for the upcoming World Cups during its virtual congress on Wednesday. Following Qatar’s controversial hosting of the 2022 tournament, the next edition in 2026 will be shared between the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In a key moment, federations worldwide confirmed the hosts for 2030 and 2034. Spain, Portugal, and Morocco were officially ratified as the co-hosts for the 2030 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia will welcome the world for the 2034 edition. The decision was made during the FIFA bidding ceremony, marking a major step for the Middle Eastern nation.

Saudi Arabia’s pitch video highlighted the grand scale of their plans, aiming to make the event more than just a tournament. “Don’t think tournament, think football festival. Everyone feeling safe and feeling together all in the same country because we will bring more teams and more fans to the same place than ever before,” their message declared.
