New Delhi: Eyeing a return in the third Test against India at Brisbane, Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood decided to go off the site from The Gabba and polish his bowling skills at a secret location. With the five-match series currently poised 1-1, Australia and India lock horns in the third Test match at The Gabba in Brisbane from December 14, Saturday.
The contest is of equal importance for both the sides as they would look to take a lead in the series by emerging victorious. Meanwhile, the Australian quick trained with his full run up at the Allan Border field, away from the limelight at The Gabba, which has become a fortress for the media persons. As reported by cricket.com.au, Hazlewood hit his top speed to put forward his case for a Test recall on Thursday.
The veteran pacer, who missed the second Test match at the Adelaide due to side strain, skipped Australia’s main training session in Brisbane and instead decided to practice full throttle at the Allan Border Field, which is almost eight kilometres away. Although Australia lost the series opener by a huge margin, Hazlewood was impressive with the ball as he picked up 5 wickets in the game at Perth.

Hazlewood practices in intense session
The Australian fast bowler sweated it out in an intense training session which lasted for 45 minutes in scorching heat with his partner Mitchell Starc, who was also there to offer him company. Bowling coach Dan Vettori was also available for the secondary training session. All that he would have to wait for is a clearance from the medical staff of Cricket Australia as his strain did not stop him much from getting back to practice quickly.
