New Delhi: West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews opted to bowl first against India in what is the series-deciding third and final women’s T20I in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. The game is being played at the DY Patil Sports Academy, just like the previous two T20Is. It is noteworthy that West Indies Women had the toss coin fall in their favour for the third consecutive time and opted to field, having done the same in the two games that went by.
India Women have entered the match with an unchanged playing XI as stand-in skipper Smriti Mandhana will look to guide the team to a series win (2-1). India Women won the first T20I by 49 runs on Sunday but conceded the second game to the visitors by a huge margin of nine wickets on Tuesday. It will be interesting to watch out how the India Eves will fare in the final T20I. Meanwhile, West Indies have made one change as they brought in Aaliyah Alleyene in place of Ashmini Munisar.
