New Delhi: Newcastle United travelled to Portsman Road to face Ipswich Town and the toons run riot throughout the 90 minutes as it was Alexander Isak who scored a fantastic hat-trick. Newcastle were 3-0 up against the tractor boys in the first half where Isak had already scored his brace. This was the first hat-trick scored by Newcastle player since 2019 when Ayoze Perez, who scored the treble against Southampton.
A truly astonishing achievement for the Newcastle striker who put his side 3-0 up in the first half to completely break the spirits of his opposition. Once his side were put in the driving seat, it seemed like no way back for the Toons as Isak completed his hat-trick in the second half.

Isak also became only the second ever Swede to score a hat-trick in the Premier League since Freddie Ljunberg for Arsenal. After Murphy’s early run, Isak blasted home after 30 seconds, giving them the perfect start. The goal was first ruled for offside, but after review, VAR gave it. Murphy played well and doubled the advantage with a hammering effort before Isak scored again due to Ipswich’s carelessness, which allowed Guimaraes to grab the ball from Cajuste following a bad pass from goalkeeper Muric. Murphy’s flick created the stage for Isak to score a hat-trick early in the second half.
It has been a sensational return for the striker ever since he made his comeback to the starting lineup of Newcastle, and now he has already score 10 times this season. As per for the Magpies, this was their third consecutive league win and they are on a hunt for the European spot now. On Boxing Day, they will host Aston Villa, while the following day, their opponents from tonight, Ipswich, will go to Arsenal.
