New Delhi: The matchday 17 of Premier League comes to a dramatic end with some of the most frenetic results. We witnessed a proper goal fest, despite the fact that two out of the five games last night ended deadlocked. However, others certainly didn’t disappoint as a total of 15 goals were scored in those thre games. Everton welcomed Chelsea to Goodison Park, where the Blues were left frustrated as a stubborn deep lying Everton side managed to get a point out of the match, when the scoreline remained deadlocked. This result didn’t really affect Chelsea’s position as they still sit second in the table on 35 points, while Everton climed to 15th with 16 points on the board.
Later on, we witnessed yet another game with no goals when Fulham were left frustrated against rock bottom side Southampton, which suggested that the Cottagers now sit ninth in the table with 25 points, while relegation threatened Southampton still remain at the bottom with just six points and just one win so far. Next was a shocking result as Bournemouth absolutely battered Manchester United at their own turf, Old Trafford, to win the match 3-0. Now the Cherries sit in an impressive fifth position with 28 points, while Ruben Amorim’s side are left with some self thinking to do, sitting 13th in the table with 22 points on the board.
Wolves added to Ruud Van Nistelroy’s miseries when they beat them at King Power Stadium, 3-0, pulling themselves up and moving above Ipswich at 18th position with 12 points. Leicester sit at 17th position with 14 points on the board. Then in the end, it was the game of the season where Tottenham were demolished 6-3 in their own ground by the hands of table toppers Liverpool who gained a four point lead at the top of the table, while their opponents sit 11th with 23 points.
