New Delhi: The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11 will conclude with a high-anticipated final match between Haryana Steelers and Patna Pirates at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on December 29, Sunday. In the league stage, when a match is tied both teams will gain three points each. But now in the grand final, what will happen if the match ends up in a tie?
If the match ends in a tie in the final
Both teams will make five raids each
Both teams will field all seven players on the mat
The Baulk line (White line) becomes the bonus line
In the five raids, no player was out from the match as only points will count in the five raids.
The different five raiders will raid the five raids and the order has to be submitted before the extra time
The team that raids first in the match is to raid first in the tie-breaker raids as well.
What will happen if the tie-breaker also ends in a tie?
If both teams end their tie-breaker in a tie in the final, then a Golden raid will decide the winner of PKL 11. The referee conducts a toss and whoever team wins the toss will become eligible for the Golden Raid.
Golden Raid rules
The Baulk line (white line) becomes the bonus line. The raider will earn a point if he crosses the white line and if the defender touches the raider before he crosses the white line, then no bonus point will be awarded to the raider and if the defender can’t tackle him then the golden raid will end up in a tie.
If the match ends in a tie after the golden raids by both teams then no multiple golden raids will take place and a toss will be conducted to decide the winner of PKL 11 winner.
If any player gets suspended before the extra time, he will not participate in the extra time and the number of players that are sitting out will directly awarded the point to the opposition team’s score.
