New Delhi: Paul Heyman kicked off the latest Smackdown episode at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, January 11. Fans started chanting ‘OTC’ and Heyman stated Roman Reigns was not in the arena but he will be giving updates on Reigns as to what he wants to accomplish next.
Heyman also claimed that after winning back the Ula Fala on WWE RAW on Netflix, Reigns now wants his WWE Championship back from Cody Rhodes. He will be participating in Royal Rumble 2025 and once again wants to main-event WrestleMania.
In the main event of the night, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu were against Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso. Tonga and Rhodes started things off as Rhodes lifted Tonga up and slammed him to the ground. Jimmy and Rhodes both were hitting nasty shots at Tonga.
Somehow Tonga tagged Fatu and Fatu threw Jimmy out of the ring and dropped a Samoan drop on Rhodes. Kevin Owens’s music hits and attacked Rhodes outside the ring.
Fatu took the advantage and slammed Jimmy on the announce table and then gave him a DDT followed by his signature move moon sault from the top and won the match.
Both men’s and women’s United States champion retained their titles in the Smackdown episode as Chelsea Green defeated Michin and LA Knight won the match but via disqualification and Shinsuke Nakamura retained his title.
