Kylian Mbappe’s renaissance at Real Madrid: From early struggles to becoming a leader

New Delhi: Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid last summer was one of the most anticipated transfers in recent years. Hopes were high that the French forward would make an immediate impact at the Spanish giants. But his first few months in Madrid were far from easy. After a slow start, questions began to surface about whether Mbappe could live up to the expectations at his dream club.

The Spanish media, once praising his potential, soon turned critical, with comparisons drawn to players like Eden Hazard, whose careers had fizzled at Madrid. However, in just a few weeks, Mbappe has silenced the doubters with a stunning performance in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Las Palmas, which marked his official revival.

The victory against Las Palmas saw Mbappe score a brace, nearly adding a third, while contributing to two other goals. His performance was a clear reminder of why Madrid were so eager to sign him. His movement, pace, and technical ability were on full display, and the Spanish media was quick to praise his brilliance.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti, who had shown unwavering faith in Mbappe despite his earlier struggles, was full of praise, calling him “the best center forward in the world.” Ancelotti emphasized that Mbappe’s ability to play centrally was a huge advantage, as it allowed him to exploit his speed and technique to the fullest.

The praise didn’t stop there. AS, one of Spain’s leading newspapers, described Mbappe’s performance as “exceptional,” while Marca speculated that he could surpass the 40-goal mark this season and even win the La Liga top scorer trophy. His current form, with 12 goals in the league, places him as the second-highest scorer in La Liga, behind Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski. If he continues on this trajectory, he may well challenge for the Golden Boot by season’s end.

A big boost for Real Madrid’s title hopes

Mbappe’s resurgence comes at a crucial time for Real Madrid, who are now back at the top of La Liga after the win over Las Palmas. With Atlético Madrid slipping up and Barcelona drawing against Getafe, Madrid are two points ahead of their rivals. As Vinicius Junior remains suspended, Mbappé’s role in leading the attack is even more significant. His goals and performances are becoming central to Real Madrid’s success, both in La Liga and the Champions League.

Looking ahead, Mbappe will need to maintain this form if Madrid are to push for the La Liga title and a strong run in Europe. His next challenge will be in the Champions League, where Real Madrid face RB Leipzig in midweek. If he continues to shine, he could become the player to lead Madrid to glory this season.

Kylian Mbappe has finally found his rhythm at Real Madrid. After a slow start, his incredible performance against Las Palmas, including a brace, has revived his career and put Madrid on top.  Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
