New Delhi: Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s struggles in the red-ball continue as he was dismissed for just three runs against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy Round 6 fixture at the BKC Ground on Thursday, January 23.

Rohit opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal and faced just 19 deliveries. J&K fast bowler Umar Nazir bowled a length delivery and the Indian captain looked to play it through the on side but got a leading edge of the bat and handed an easy catch to the short cover fielder.

Jaiswal also failed to impress and was removed  by Auqib Nabi for just 4 runs. The Indian players returned to their state teams after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued guidelines for the centrally contracted players to participate in the domestic tournament. Rohit also struggled to score runs in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
