New Delhi: World Athletics on Thursday announced the ticket sales for the World Athletics Championship 2025, which will take place in September this year in Tokyo, Japan. The tickets for the global event will be open from Friday onwards.
Interestingly, the global governing body of track and field events, in its latest promotion for the tickets, featured India-Pakistan rivals Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem in a poster. In the upper side of the poster, Neeraj is placed on the left with a roar while Nadeem seems tranquil on the right.
The two athletes are placed below their respective graphics, holding the spears, apparently at the release point. In the middle of the four visuals, the ‘Tokyo 25’ is written in a calligraphic format. A tagline below notes ‘Every second, Sugoi.’ The term Sugoi is a Japanese word, which translates into English as amazing.
The X handle of World Athletics emphasised on the head-to-head rivalry between Neeraj and Arshad with the caption ‘Which two athletes do you want to see fight for gold in Tokyo?’
