New Delhi: Abu Dhabi is all set to host UFC’s next Fight Night card on August 4, Sunday. Cory Sanhagen vs Umar Nurmagomedov will headline the card, Tony Ferguson is set to fight one last time, and Shara Magomedov will headline the co-main event of the card.
Cory Sandhagen vs Umar Nurmagomedov
The fight which was slated for one year ago, is now almost after one year both fighters are ready to share the octagon. Sandhagen is coming from a dominant victory against Rob Font and is now on a three-fight win streak. Sandhagen has made some changes in his training camp as he knows Nurmagomedov is dominant on the ground and he will have to make some adjustments in the fight.
Nurmagomedov is still undefeated in his professional career with a splendid record of 17-0, Nurmagomedov is No. 10 ranked in the bantamweight division and Sandhagen is in the No.2 position it will be a golden chance for Nurmagomedov to upset the world and can challenge the champion.
Shara Magomedov vs Michal Oleksiejczuk
Russian Shara Bullet is the next big thing in UFC and won back-to-back bouts since joining UFC Roaster. Meanwhile, Oleksiejczuk has suffered back-to-back first-round defeats. Oleksiejczuk is great on the feet that why he is a dangerous partner for Magomedov as Magomedov mostly fights on the feet and possesses his power with the hands.
Marlon Vera vs Deiveson Figueiredo
Vera will face former flyweight champion Figueiredo, Figueiredo has been dominant since he joined the bantamweight division as he won back-to-back fights in the division, he has learned wrestling and grappling more after weighing up and changing some tactical approaches. Vera is coming from a setback in the title fight as Sean O’Malley defeated him in straight five rounds. It will be an interesting matchup as both fighters will look to come close to a title match.
Tony Ferguson vs Michael Chiesa
Tony’s career might end with this fight as he is on a 7-fight losing streak and Dana White also stated, that Tony should retire regardless of the result of this fight, It will be a welterweight division fight which gave Chiesa an edge because Chiesa fought in a welterweight division in his career and Tony is going one division up to fight.
