New Delhi: UFC’s second pay-per-view is all set to take place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on February 9, Sunday. The middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis will be in action to defend his title against former middleweight champion Sean Strickland at the UFC 312 event.

Both fighters will be back again in the octagon to settle their disputes after Du Plessis defeated Strickland via split decision at UFC 297 in 2023. Strickland won his last bout against Paulo Costa at UFC 302 via split decision.

After winning the title Du Plessis defended his title against one of the best middleweight champions Israel Adesanya and defeated him via rear naked choke at UFC 305 event.

In the co-main event, Zhang Weili will defend his women’s Strawweight title against Tatiana Suarez. This will be a five-round fight and this will be the third title defense for Zhang.

Suarez is unbeaten in her MMA career with a record of 11-0 and finished her opponent in the last two fights with a Guillotine choke. This will be his first big opportunity to cash-in in the UFC.

Indian star Anshul Jubli will also be battling out against Quillan Sailkilld in the early preliminary fight card. This will be his return to the octagon after the loss in his debut fight.

A heavyweight fight will also feature in the UFC  312 event as Justin Tafa will fight against Tallison Teixeria. Tafa is coming with a loss against Karl Williams in his last fight and will be looking to come back in the winning column again.

Meanwhile, this will be the second fight of Texeria’s in his UFC career. He started his career with a bang-on performance against Artur Lopes as he knocked him in the first round.
