New Delhi: India legend Sachin Tendulkar recently hit the nets ahead of his much-awaited comeback to cricket in the International Masters League. The Master Blaster returned to training and was seen timing the ball like the old times in the nets in a video shared by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians.
Regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time, Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013. However, despite having been away from the game for over a decade, Tendulkar remains a fan favourite and continues to enjoy massive popularity across the globe. The Master Blaster rolled back the years while batting in the nets with some of his iconic strokes.
In the video posted by Mumbai Indians, Tendulkar could be seen at his elegant best as he faced the deliveries in the nets, reminding fans of his unmatched prowess. “Look who we saw batting in the nets from our windows,” Mumbai Indians captioned the video of Tendulkar batting in the nets, leaving cricket fans nostalgic.

Tendulkar will lead the Indian team in the inaugural edition of the International Master League which is scheduled to get underway on February 22. The tournament will be played from February 22 to March 16 with six teams taking part in the competition. Cricket aficionados are waiting eagerly to see Tendulkar back in action once again and enjoy his batting.
Cricket legends to be part of International Master League
Several cricketing legends from across the globe will be taking part in the inaugural edition of the International Masters League. Six teams – India, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies will be taking part in the tournament with some of the yesteryear greats in their respective squads.
Apart from Tendulkar, the likes of Shane Watson, Kumar Sangakkara, Jacques Kallis and Brian Lara among others will be part of the International Masters League. Tendulkar-led India will take on Sangakkara-led Sri Lanka in their opening game of the tournament which will be played entirely in India.
