New Delhi: Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni delivered a powerful lecture to more than 3.50 lakh students at the Allen Career Institute’s nationwide student summit, ‘Sangam,’ at Mumbai’s SVP Stadium Dome. The inspiration lecture even went on to set a record as the largest student gathering ever held in the country.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star, who will be seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, said that small-town dreams can conquer the world and success is no longer dependent on a pin code any more. Dhoni, who hailed from the small town of Ranchi and made it big in the cricketing world, shared his journey with the students.

Right guidance, dedication must for achieving goals

The former Indian player further went on to say that everyone can achieve their goals with right guidance, dedication and mind set and if he can achieve it, anyone can. The CSK star also answered questions from the students regarding dealing with pressure and how to give importance to preparations over results and process over outcome. Dhoni said that everyone should focus on the preparation behind the scenes which is of vital importance.

A glimpse

Additionally, living in the present and enjoying every moment of the life was another piece of advice that the former India cricketer passed on. Dhoni also told the students during his speech to learn from their failures and keep moving forward, stressing on embracing challenges and hard work, which are irreplaceable values that define success. Dhoni has been picked as an uncapped player by the Super Kings for the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.
