Kolkata: The stocks of Asian Paints, Mobikwik, Titan, NSE, Tata Power are in the news today following the announcement of their Q3 FY25 financial results. Both Sensex and Nifty rebounded sharply on February 4 — while Sensex jumped 1,397.07 points or 1.81% to close at 78,583.81 points, Nifty rose by 378.20 points or 1.62% to reach 23,739.25 at close of trade. According to analysts the reason for the jump was the decision by the Donald Trump government to push back the policy of erecting tariff walls on Mexico and Canada for a month.

Following that postponement of what could unleash a tariff war, Asian markets began trading in the green on February 4. And Indian indices followed suit. The closing level of BSE Sensex was the highest in a month. The closing level of Nifty, too, was not seen since January 3. Let’s have a close look at the stocks in news today.

Asian Paints Q3 results

On Tuesday Asian Paints, the market leader, reported a 23.3% decline in net profit to Rs 1,110.48 crore for Q3 of FY25. In Q3 FY24, the net profit figure was Rs 1,447.72 crore, Muted demand in the festive season was believed to have contributed to this lacklustre show. On a sequential basis, however, the profit level rose nearly 60% from Rs 694.64 crore. The consolidated revenue from operations of Asian Paints dipped by 6% to reach Rs 8,549.44 crore on a y-o-y basis from Rs 9,103.09 crore from Q3 FY24. Again, sequentially the revenue figure went up 6.5% from Rs 8,027.54 crore.

Mobikwik Q3 results

On February 4, Mobikwik reported a net loss of Rs 55.2 crore for Q3 FY25 period. Last year in the same period it had recorded a profit of Rs 5.27 crore.
Revenue from operations for the fintech company grew 17.7%. It was at Rs 228.93 crore in Q3 FY24 but rose to Rs 269.47 crore in Q3 FY25. But on a sequential basis the decline in revenue was by 7.3%. It was Rs 290.64 crore in Q2 FY25 period. The contribution margin too remained muted in Q3 of FY25. It went down from Rs 87.2 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs 73 crore in Q3 FY25.

Titan Q3 results

Titan on February 4, came up with a 4.9% (y-o-y) dip in net profit for Q3 FY25 period, when it was reported at Rs 990 crore. The amount was at Rs 1,040 crore in the same period in FY24. On a sequential basis, the net profit rose by 40.42% from Rs 705 crore in Q2 FY25 period. The revenues of the company leaped 24% (y-o-y) in in Q3 FY25 to reach Rs 16,053 crore. On a sequential basis, the revenue figure jumped 31%.

NSE Q3 results

For Q3 FY25 period, National Stock Exchange (NSE) reported a whopping 94% jump in net profit that stood at Rs 3,834 crore. The exchange recorded a net profit of Rs 1,975 crore in Q3 of FY24. Sequentially, the net profit rose 22% from Rs 3,137 crores in Q2 FY25 period. Revenue from operations jumped 24% to reach Rs 3,945 crore in Q3 of FY25 from Rs 3,170 crore. However, sequentially it recorded a dip of 2% (q-o-q), the reason being a decline in trading volumes in both cash market and derivatives. Total income was at Rs 4,807 crore in Q3 FY25 compared to Rs 5,023 crore recorded in Q2 FY25.

Tata Power Q3 results

Tata Power, on February 4, declared net profit level of Rs 1,188 crore for Q3 Fy25 that meant a rise of 10% over the profit of Rs 1,076 crore in 3 FY24. The revenue of the company rose 3% to reach Rs 15,793 crore against Rs 15,294 crore during Q3 of FY24. The EBITDA of Tata Power rose 7% to reach Rs 3,481 crore from Rs 3,250 crore.
