Starting as an attacking midfielder before transitioning into a world-class left-back, the Dutchman played for Feyenoord, Rangers, Arsenal, and Barcelona. Known as “The Maradona of the Carpathians,” Gheorghe Hagi is widely regarded as Romania’s greatest-ever player. A creative genius with extraordinary dribbling, passing, and shooting ability, Hagi was the heart and soul of Romania’s golden generation. He played for some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Galatasaray, dazzling fans with his technical brilliance.
