New Delhi: The exciting among the fans is growing at a rapid rate as we edge closer to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The eight-team global event will kick off in Karachi on February 19 with the blockbuster match between New Zealand and Pakistan. Ahead of the highly-anticipated tournament, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday unveiled the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 official song, “Jeeto Baazi Khel Ke”.

Renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has add the musical magic to the catchy song with his silky voice. With 12 days to go until the high-octane tournament begins, the release of the official song will add to the excitement to the mega-event, taking place from February 19 to March 9 in Pakistan and the UAE.

A colourful celebration of cricket

The official anthem is produced by Abdullah Siddiqui and penned by Adnan Dhool and Asfandyar Asad. The music video celebrates the diverse culture of Pakistan from the narrow lanes to the busy markets to the stadium, representing passion and love of cricket.

 

 

Atif, who has a massive fan base in India owing to evergreen and soulful songs in Indian cinema, was elated with the opportunity to give his voice to the official song of the ICC event. Following the release of the song, Atif opened up on his passion and love for cricket and revisited his childhood days when he wanted to be a fast bowler. He also revealed his fandom for cricket matches, particularly the India versus Pakistan game.

Thrilling two-week action on the cards

The thrilling two-week 15-match tournament will see the world’s top eight teams, who finished in the first eight places at the 2023 ODI World Cup, battle it out for glory across 19 days.

Team India will play all its league matches and semi-final and final (if they qualify) in Dubai. The Men in Blue will open their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 before meeting arch-rivals Pakistan three days later on February 23. India’s last Group B match is against New Zealand on March 2.
