New Delhi: The 16-time WWE World Champion kicked off his farewell tour in the Royal Rumble 2025. He missed a golden opportunity to chase his 17th World title dream but Jey Uso crushed his dream and won the match.
After that heartbreaking loss, Cena announced his return to the ring in the second premium live event of 2025 Elimination Chamber 2025. Elimination Chamber 2025 is all set to take place at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada on March 2, Sunday.
“What is best for business is I main event WrestleMania, And what is best for business is for the first time, I confidently say that I’m gonna win a seventeenth championship. So I’m announcing tonight that I will compete in the Elimination Chamber.” Cena stated.
Dave Meltzer, a renowned name in WWE revealed the WWE’s plans for John Cena in the next premium live event. According to him, WWE is planning a super-contest between Cena and Cody Rhodes.
The main plan is to push Cena to win the Elimination Chamber 2025 which will open many top contenders’ major matches for WrestleMania 41. The main focus will be on Cena winning a record-breaking 17th WWE World title.
Two other stars confirm for Elimination Chamber 2025
After Cena announced his participation in the Elimination Chamber match. Five spots are remaining after Cena’s announcement in the Elimination Chamber match.
In the WWE RAW after Royal Rumble, CM Punk was against Sami Zayn in the Elimination Chamber qualifying match and Punk emerged victorious and joined Cena in the six-man Chamber match.
In the Smackdown episode, Drew McIntyre, Jimmy Uso, and LA Knight battle out in a triple-threat match. McIntyre emerged victorious and qualified for the Elimination Chamber match.
Cena, Punk, and McIntyre are confirmed for the Elimination Chamber match. Two qualifying matches will also take place next week. Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul will fight in the first qualifying match. Damian Priest, Jacob Fatu, and Braun Strowman will collide in a triple-threat qualifying match.
