New Delhi: WWE has teased two new matches for the Elimination Chamber in the latest Friday night edition of Smackdown. Just a few weeks left for the last major stop on the road to WrestleMania 41. The WWE Elimination Chamber Premium live event is scheduled to take place on 1st March at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.
The Men’s and Women’s matches for the Elimination Chamber are taking shape with qualifier matches on RAW and SmackDown. However, a big and interesting development took place in the latest edition of SmackDown on February 14. Following the events that happened at the event, WWE Universe and fans can expect two huge matches to be added to the match card.
Which two matches were teased on the SmackDown for the Elimination Chamber 2025?
WWE aired a video from Sami Zayn in Friday Night SmackDown on February 14. His friend Kevin Owens hit him with a package piledriver to end WWE RAW after CM Punk defeated Zayn for a spot in the Chamber match. Owens was angry with Zayn as he didn’t help to beat the undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes in the championship ladder match at the Royal Rumble.
In the promo, Zayn gave an update about his neck and said that he has nerve damage and is seeing specialists. Zayn further added that he’s not sure when he’ll be cleared, but when he is, he and Owens are going to fight again. After that, Owens shared a video on his X account and expressed pain over how many times he has been stabbed in the back in the last few months. Owens also said that if Zayn wants to go again, they’ll do it.
Tiffany Stratton had a tough match against Nia Jax with her WWE Women’s Championship on the line. Stratton was on the verge of victory, but Nia’s ally Candice LeRae attacked her. Trish Stratus rushed to aid Stratton and had the upper hand for a moment before Jax took both of them out. After the match, Trish Stratus met with Tiffany Stratton backstage and proposed her to fight against Nia and Candice in a tag team match at the WWE Elimination Chamber.
