New Delhi: Seasoned pacer Mohammed Shami made a fabulous comeback to an ICC event as he etched his name in the history books with multiple records during the India vs Bangladesh Champions Trophy 2025 clash in Dubai on Thursday. The veteran Shami, who made his ODI comeback in the recently-concluded England series after a long hiatus, claimed his record 200th wicket in ODIs, which was his third in the match.

By virtue of his 200th ODI wicket, the veteran bowler scripted the record for the most wickets by a bowler for India in ICC events. As Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali led a fabulous recovery for the Bangladesh side after they had lost five wickets, Shami gave India the much-needed breakthrough with the wicket of Ali (68) as the Men in Blue breathed a sigh of relief.
