New Delhi: WWE revealed the official logo for WrestleMania 42 during this week’s edition of SmackDown at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. WWE’s premier event, WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to be held at the same location next year.
The Rock made a big announcement before this week’s edition of the SmackDown that he would be appearing at the show. He came out to a standing ovation from the fans in attendance and jumped straight to his big announcement.

He announced that New Orleans will host WrestleMania 42 in 2026 and it will be a two-night event, taking place in the Superdome on April 11 and 12, 2026. Just after the announcement, WWE revealed the logo of WrestleMania 42 on the entrance screens. The logo was praised by the fans on social media and many claimed that it was a remastered and looked like a combined version of WrestleMania 30 and 34.

It will be the third time that New Orleans will host the WrestleMania. The first edition was WrestleMania 30 where Daniel Bryan emerged victorious against The Authority (Randy Orton and Batista) to become the WWE World Champion. Brock Lesner also ended The Undertaker’s iconic WrestleMania streak in the same city. WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans is remembered for Ronda Rousey’s in-ring WWE debut and the high-quality main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesner.
In the post-show conference, The Rock revealed that New Orleans has a huge wrestling fanbase and has hosted memorable WrestleMania editions in the past. “New Orleans for us as a company and a brand, as WWE, has always been an amazing city dating back from when I had the privilege of lacing up the boots and running around, and raising an eyebrow, dropping People’s Elbows on some fools around here. But New Orleans has always been an amazing city. Big wrestling city, big wrestling town. I’ll take it back even further from when I was in the business” The Rock said.
