New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Yojana) scheme from Bhagalpur, Bihar on February 24, 2025, Monday. The government will transfer around Rs 22,000 crore in the bank accounts of 9.8 crore eligible farmers under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.
The PM Kisan Yojana eligible farmers can check their names in the list of beneficiaries online. eKYC is mandatory for PMKISAN registered farmers. OTP based eKYC is available on PMKISAN portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.
PM Kisan is a central government scheme with 100 per cent funding from the government of India. Modi government launched it during its first tenure in 2018. Under the scheme an income support of 6,000/- per year in three equal installments will be provided to all land holding farmer families. The eligible farmer get the money directly to their bank accounts.
Till now, farmers have received 18 installments under PM Kisan Yojana. The scheme is the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. According to the rules, the eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 in three installments (April-July, August-November and December-March), which amounts to Rs 6,000 annually.
The 18th installment of PM Kisan Yojana was released in October 2025. At that point of time, 9.4 crore farmers received around Rs 20,000 crore.
