As per the Hindu calendar, the full moon of the Phalguna month will begin on March 13 at 10:35 AM and will end on March 14 at 12:23 PM. Based on this, Holika Dahan (the ritual bonfire) will take place on March 13, while Holi will be played on March 14.
How to Celebrate Holi with Laddu Gopal?
On Holi, devotees wake up early, take a bath, and then bathe Laddu Gopal, dressing him in new, colourful clothes. After adorning him, he is seated on a plate with a Swastika symbol drawn on it. Devotees first offer flowers at his feet and then play Holi with flower petals. The most auspicious colour for Laddu Gopal is yellow, as it is considered his favourite. Applying yellow gulal is believed to bring his blessings.
Which Colours Are Considered Auspicious?
Apart from yellow, devotees can also apply pink, green, and red gulal to Laddu Gopal. Scented abir (fine aromatic-coloured powder) can also be used. Offering these colours to Laddu Gopal is said to bring prosperity, happiness, and well-being to one’s home.
