New Delhi: News9’s one-of-a-kind initiative, the Indian Tigers and Tigresses has reached its grand finale as the shortlisted Tigers and Tigresses arrived in New Delhi earlier today (March 7, Friday) ahead of final selection day on March 8, Saturday. Kids from all across the country participated in the regional trials and the creme de la creme of the young footballers have descended in the capital for the final trials on the 8th and 9th of March.
The Tigers and Tigresses, aged between 12 and 17, reached the national capital from all parts of the country, stretching from all the way north in Srignar, J&K to Bangalore, Karnataka. Travelling with their parents, the excitement in these budding professionals was palpable as they left their hometowns from all across the country to cross the final hurdle and win a chance to train with the best in Austria.
Some of the kids also reached the venue of Sudeva FC, the technical partner of News9’s Tigers and Tigresses initiative with all the excitement as News9 welcomed the young stars to the capital in style. The kids hit the ground to get themselves in the groove for the big day on Saturday.
On the road to the final, as the curtain rose on Friday, kids from Mumbai, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Ahmedabad and Kolkata made their way for the campaign, showcasing the lengths and breadths of the country that this initiative has touched.
News9’s Indian Tigers and Tigresses campaign has seen unprecedented success across Indian cities, including Delhi, Ludhiana, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Palakkad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Sri Nagar.
The platform will provide a selected few a chance to train with the best in the field from Austria.
