Mumbai: At a time when there is immense uncertainty in the Indian stock market and Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) relentlessly pulling out money from the domestic equities, it would be interesting to learn that three stocks are creating a buzz as the FIIs have 30-244 per cent stake in the particular firms.
It may be noted that Foreign Institutional Investors sold equities worth Rs 4,994.24 in the Indian market on April 9, according to exchange data. on April 9, 2025, the BSE Sensex decline dropped 379.93 points to close at 73,847.15. The NSE Nifty slumped 136.70 points to end the day at 22,399.15.
Home First Finance Co India Ltd
FIIs are holding 36 per cent shareholding in Home First Finance, retail investors own 29.93 per cent of the shares, Domestic investors (DIIs) own 19.82 per cent and promoters have 14.25 per cent. The firm is a housing finance company that primarily provides home loans, loans against commercial property, loan against property and construction finance.
Home First Finance Co India Ltd Market cap stands at Rs 9,487 crore. The stock ended at Rs 1,030 per equity share on April 9, 2025.
Zomato (Eternal)
Foreign Institutional Investors own 44.36 per cent of the shares in food and grocery delivery platform Zomato, which officially changed its name to ‘Eternal Ltd’ on the stock exchanges from
9th April 2025. The retail investors have 26.08 per cent stake, domestic investors 23.47 per cent and promoters zero per cent. The online food delivery and restaurant discovery platform has a market capitalisation of 2.04,105 crore. The stock ended at Rs Rs 214.55 per share on 9th April.
Apollo Tubes Ltd
APL Apollo Tubes, one of India’s largest manufacturers of structural steel tubes, is engaged in the manufacturing of a wide range of pre-galvanised tubes, structural tubes, MS black pipes and hollow sections. Its products are widely used in the infrastructure and construction industries.
The company has a market cap of Rs 40,882 crore. The stock settled at Rs 1,474.90 apiece. The Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) own 31.72 per cent stake, retail investors have 23.45 per cent of the shares, DIIs’ holdings stands at 16.51 per cent and promoters have 28.31 per cent.
