New Delhi: After failing to get 9 runs in the final over against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their last game, Rajasthan Royals (RR) choked again in a run-chase to suffer a close 2-run defeat against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Saturday, April 19. Indian pacer Avesh Khan turned out to be the hero for LSG as he bowled an excellent last over, defending 9 runs off it to help his team secure a thrilling victory.
Rajasthan Royals were cruising towards victory with only 9 needed off the last six deliveries at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, and Shimron Hetmyer out in the middle with Dhruv Jurel. However, the duo failed to deliver again as Avesh nailed his yorkers to perfection in the last over, dismissing Hetmyer on the 3rd ball while conceding only 6 runs off it to seal victory for LSG.
