New Delhi: Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Shashank Singh lit up the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala with a stunning six against pacer Mayank Yadav in his side’s clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday, May 04. Shashank smashed the ball out of the stadium, leaving the fans in awe of his remarkable hit.
Shashank, who played a fine cameo of unbeaten 15-ball 33 in the lower-middle order, sent the ball sailing out of the ground against Mayank in the 17th over of Punjab Kings’ innings. It was a back-of-a-length delivery from Mayank, bowled down the leg. Shashank got hold of the ball and dispatched it over deep backward square-leg for a huge six.
The ball went on the roof of the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala before disappearing in the mountains. The stunning hit left Punjab Kings co-owner Priety Zinta in complete awe as her reaction went viral on social media.

Prabhsimran Singh’s blistering 91 powers PBKS to 236/5
Opener Prabhsimran Singh played a stupendous knock of 91 runs off just 48 balls to help Punjab Kings post a huge total of 236 runs on the board in 20 overs. Prabhsimran shared a 48-run stand for the second wicket with Josh Inglis (30) before adding another important stand of 78 runs for the third wicket with Shreyas Iyer, who smashed a quickfire 45 off 25 balls.
Prabhsimran, who has been enjoying a purple patch this season, looked in flawless touch once again as he played his aggressive game, tonking the LSG bowlers all around the park en route to his 48-ball 91. However, he ended up missing out on a well-deserved century after getting caught off Akash Singh’s bowling in the 19th over. His 91 was laced with 7 sixes and six fours.
Shashank too played a solid cameo of 15-ball 33 to lift Punjab Kings to 236/5 in 20 overs in their first game at their second home ground – the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
