New Delhi: In a big boost for Mumbai Indians, English all-rounder Will Jacks has decided to rejoin the squad for their final two league fixtures. Jacks, who predominantly functions as a batter in the squad, confirmed his return by posting a photo of his flight to Mumbai on social media handle Instagram on Friday.

But Jacks will depart for the national duty after completing Mumbai Indians’ last two league matches as the IPL playoffs clash with England’s white-ball series against the West Indies which starts on May 29. The Mumbai franchise made a stunning bounce back in the IPL 2025 to sit on the fourth position on the points table. To confirm a place in the playoffs, Mumbai has to win both their remaining matches.

Stoinis, Inglis to join PBKS

Meanwhile, South African player Tristan Stubbs has already joined the Delhi Capitals squad for the remaining three matches of the league. The World Test Championship Final-bound Stubbs will be unavailable for the playoffs if DC qualify. However, there is no clarity on the availability of vice-captain Faf du Plessis.

Apart from Stoinis, Josh Inglis has also agreed to join the team but will be missing its first game after IPL resumption on May 18. Meanwhile, star pacer Mitchell Starc, who has been a pivotal figure in DC’s campaign, emerging as their leading wicket-taker with 14 scalps in 11 matches, has opted out of the IPL and will not participate in the remaining matches for the Capitals. He will head back to Australia and be ready for the WTC Final against South Africa.

Meanwhile, the IPL was stopped for a week due to tension between India and Pakistan. It resumes on Saturday, May 17 with the final pushed back to June 3 from May 25, clashing with international commitments of players from South Africa, England, Australia and the West Indies.
