New Delhi: Batting icon Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma indulged in a healthy game of pickleball with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) family ahead of their penultimate league game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The couple notably teamed up to take on different rivals in what was a doubles game, and the entire fun activity was organised by the franchise to help their players take some time off.
The team headed to a pickleball facility, which had several indoor courts, and took part in an enthusiastic session to make the most of their leisure time. The highlight of the entire instance was the power couple, also known by the nickname “Virushka”, who partnered with each other as a duo team and made some impressive shots to take the points in their favour.
Earlier, Virat and Anushka were seen in a promotional video playing cricket together, where one bowled and the other batted. The video broke the internet as the fans fell in love with the two taking on each other in a fun cricket session. Similar has been the case here as the netizens are drooling over the couple teaming up this time for pickleball, rather than playing against each other.
The franchise shared the video of the entire session on its social media account as the game was divided in the phases of a quarterfinal, a semifinal, and a final game. RCB’s batting coach and mentor Dinesh Karthik was also present with his wife Dipika Pallikal, a professional squash player herself. The likes of Mayank Agarwal, Phil Salt, Tim David, and Romario Shepherd were also seen taking part in the sport.

RCB’s IPL 2025 campaign
The IPL was to resume on May 17 after a temporary suspension of eight days, and RCB was to play against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at home – the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, but the clash eventually washed out due to incessant rain, and the two teams shared a point each. Being wary of the similar conditions for the team’s next clash, which is against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the IPL Governing Council moved RCB’s home fixture to Lucknow for the same day, i.e., Friday, May 23.
RCB are already qualified for the playoffs and currently sit second with 17 points coming from eight wins and three losses out of 12 games so far, including the rain-abandoned game. After playing SRH, they will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the same venue on Tuesday, May 27, which will be their final league stage fixture, before beginning the playoffs proceedings. They will aim to finish in the top two positions as they can still get to 21 points if they claim the last two games as well.
