New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is going through its business end and is slowly approaching its conclusion. With only a few league stage fixtures left, the race to the playoffs has already been over but the four teams that have made it – Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) – are now up in a competition to grab a no. 1 and 2 finish in the points table.

The benefit of a top-two finish is that the two teams will play each other in Qualifier 1 on May 29 and the winner of the game will head straight into the final. Meanwhile the loser of Qualifier 1 will get a second chance to make the final by playing the Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator, another knockout match between the teams which finish no. 3 and 4 in the points table.
