Although he succeeded in keeping the ball inside the field of play and only gave away a run, but was seen limping off soon after. Jacob Bethell had to step in as a replacement for the remaining five balls of the over.
SRH had set a huge target of 232 for RCB, who were hosting at the Ekana Stadium, and while they looked on course till the 15th over, it all derailed soon afterward. David, who came in at no. 8, could score just a run in five balls before he holed out to the fielder at long-on in the 18th over. RCB were eventually bowled out for 189 in 19.5 overs.
