Gwalior: Chambal Ghariyals defeated Indore Pink Panthers by 43 runs in the sixth match of Madhya Pradesh Premier League 2025 at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on June 15.
This is Chambal’s second consecutive win in the tournament, while Indore had to face defeat after winning their opening match. Batting first, Chambal once again performed brilliantly and scored 207 runs for the loss of six wickets. Chasing this target, Indore only managed to score 164 runs.
Ankush Singh, who scored a brilliant half-century in the last match, failed to score runs against Chambal and was dismissed in the second over after hitting two fours. After this, Apurve Dwivedi and skipper Shubham Sharma together made a quick partnership of 50 runs for the second wicket. Apurve was dismissed after scoring 33 runs in 17 balls, while Shubham scored 48 runs off 42 balls.
Harpreet Singh Bhatia, who scored a half-century in the last match, performed brilliantly against Chambal. He played good shots after a slow start and scored 57 runs in 39 balls. Aman Bhadauria played an explosive innings, scoring 35 runs in just 12 balls, hitting five sixes.
Chasing the target, Indore got off to a great start as Arpit Gaur and Akshat Raghuvanshi forged a 60-run partnership in the powerplay. However, as soon as the powerplay ended, Arpit was out after scoring 15 runs in 13 balls in the seventh over. Raghuvanshi scored 48 runs in 31 balls.
Indore captain Venkatesh Iyer once again failed to contribute and only managed to score 10 runs off 10 balls. When Venkatesh was out in the 13th over, Indore’s score was 108 runs. Ankur Chauhan batted brilliantly, scoring 32 runs off 17 balls, but was removed by Aryan Pandey. He picked up two wickets, while Aman and Raj also took two wickets each.
