New Delhi: Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood has started the season in fine form and continued that great form against Manchester United during his side’s visit to Old Trafford. Nottingham got off to a perfect start as Nikola Milenković put his side ahead inside two minutes with a leaping header from a corner. The hosts weren’t behind for long as Rasmus Hojlund brought his side back on level terms just 16 minutes later.
The second half of the game changed things almost instantly for the visitors as two goals in seven minutes put Nottingham in a commanding position. Morgan Gibbs-White put his side ahead once again in the 47th minute and seven minutes later, Wood had added a third to his side’s tally, putting them fully in control of the game. It was this goal that etched his name in the club’s history books, on his birthday, as he scored a looping header past Onana.
