Chennai: Popular Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay and founder leader of a Tamil Nadu-based political party – Tamizha Vetrikkazham (TVK) has announced that he will felicitate top scorers of class 10th and 12th grade from all 234 assembly constituencies in the state in two phases on June 28 and July 3, 2024.
“The felicitation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 28, at Sri Ramachandra Convention Centre, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. Students from the districts of Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Kanyakumari, Karur, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Sivagangai, Thenkasi, Theni, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Tirupur, Virudhunagar will take in the felicitation ceremony.
Subsequently, in the second phase on Wednesday, July, 3, the students from the districts of Chengalpattu, Chennai, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Kanchipuram, Karaikal, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Perambalur, Puducherry, Ranipettai, Thanjavur, Thiruvallur, Thiruvannamalai, Tiruvarur, Tirupattur, Trichy, Vellore, Villupuram will join the meet, the press release from TVK said.

Actor Vijay, a well-known South actor known for his popular box-office blockbusters, launched his political party called “Tamizhaga Vetrikkazhagam” in February this year. He didn’t extend support for anyone in the Lok Sabha elections and asserted that his only target is the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Before starting his, Vijay hosted a felicitation ceremony last year by inviting the students who secured the top 3 positions in 234 constituencies in the 10th and 2 general examinations. He gave them a certificate and an incentive of Rs.5,000 for each student.
Actor Thalapathy Vijay will reward the students who secured top marks in classes 10 and 122 from all the 234 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu with cash prizes. The felicitation event will take place in Chennai on June 28 and July 3.
