Andhra Pradesh: Pawan Kalyan likely to be Deputy CM, Jana Sena to get 4 ministerial berths

Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu, who will be AP CM for a fourth time, is finalising state cabinet with positions likely to Pawan Kalyan and his son Lokesh.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will likely get the post of Deputy CM and a ministerial berth in AP Cabinet, Tv9 telugu reported.

Jana Sena, which won 21 seats it contested, is likely to get four ministerial berths and BJP may get 2 ministerial posts, reports suggested.

Kalyan may choose candidates from SC, Kapu, OBC communities, reports said. From BJP, the names of Sujana Chowdary and Vishnu Raju are being floated.

Full clarity on the cabinet is expected by Tuesday evening and Chandrababu Naidu will make calls to those selected by this evening.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Pawan Kalyan was elected the leader of Jana Sena Legislative Party in a meeting held at party headquarters at Mangalagiri.

TDP-JSP-BJP MLAs gathered in Vijayawada for a crucial meeting and declared Naidu as the CM candidate. Naidu’s name will be formally proposed by the elected members of NDA after which the resolution will be submitted to governor.

Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn-in as chief minister on June 12 and all arrangements are underway near Kesarapalli IT Park, Gannavaram.

NDA alliance won 164 seats in the AP Legislative Assembly out of 175 seats while the alliance bagged 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats.
