Indigo flight schedule: Happy days! Daily flights to Tashkent, Almaty, Tbilisi soon

Budget carrier, and India’s biggest airline, Indigo is spreading its wings in Central Asia. The airline is looking to increase the frequency of its flights to Tashkent, Almaty and Tbilisi. The reason behind this strategic move by Indigo is the rising international demand by travellers to these regions. Now, the airline has announced a doubling of flights to Almaty and Tbilisi from Delhi from August 16. The same applies to Tashkent, but the flights will start on August 17. Once the new Indigo flight schedule becomes operational, it will operate daily flights from these cities. Earlier the frequency was 4 flights per week to Tashkent and 3 flights Almaty and Tbilisi. Another city in the region that the airline operates daily flights to is Baku.

“These new flights have been announced to cater to the increasing demand for outbound and leisure travel to these destinations. The launch of these flights signifies IndiGo’s dedication towards connecting people and places, fostering global connections, and enriching travel adventures,” he added.

According to Indigo, the benefits it offers to travellers include affordable fares, on-time flights and a hassle-free travel experience.

Notably, Indigo flight schedule includes as many as 2000 daily flights that connect 85+ domestic destinations and 30+ international destinations.

Indigo stake sale announced

IndiGo airline’s biggest shareholder will sell a 2% stake worth $394 million. Co-founder Rahul Bhatia-led Interglobe Enterprises, which had a 37.75% stake in Interglobe Aviation will sell the shares at a base price of Rs 4,266 each, which is a 6.6% discount to the stock’s closing price on Monday. The Indigo share price dropped 3.6% to Rs 4,403.40 on Tuesday and it shed another 1.52% today and fell to Rs 4,303.
