Hyderabad: The IAS officer who ordered the demolition of a security outpost near Jagan Reddy’s Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad has been transferred, Tv9 telugu reported.
The officer identified as Bhorkhade Hemant Sahadeorao, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Zonal commissioner has been relieved from GHMC and has been asked to report to General Administration Department (GAD), Hyderabad.
GHMC commissioner expressed concern that the illegal security outpost was razed without informing superiors and was done on the orders of a minister. A minister from Telangana government, who lives near Jagan’s residence, allegedly called the zonal commissioner and ordered demolition. Government authorities said that the chief minister and others were not informed about the demolition.
It was demolished on the grounds that the outpost had encroached the road, causing public inconvenience
Meanwhile, ex-cm Jagan Reddy is under fire from the new government with TDP unveiling a new building in Rushikonda built at a cost of Rs 500 crore. Jagan Reddy’s YSRCP managed to win merely 11 seats in the AP Legislative Assembly and 4 Lok Sabha seats in the recently concluded elections.
