New Delhi: India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant shared a hilarious meme post after India won their second Super 8 clash of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Bangladesh on Saturday. The match was played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua where the Men in Blue beat the Bangla Tigers by 50 runs to put one foot in the semi-final. Pant shared a funny post right after the match that included the AI avatars of Indian cricket stalwarts.
The video featured India skipper Rohit Sharma alongside legendary MS Dhoni and star batter Virat Kohli who all danced to a popular Bollywood number. The meme versions of these star cricketers are making the fans go crazy as Pant himself couldn’t resist posting a meme on his official Insta handle. It is very rare for a cricketer to repost a meme or to address one but Pant didn’t shy away from it and posted the meme that has gained several likes and comments.
Pant put a screen recording (his first, as captioned by him) of the video meme made by a fan who danced with Kohli and Dhoni beside him and was later joined by Rihit in the middle. The three stalwarts were in the latest T20I jerseys as they danced to the beats of “Barso re Megha,” a song from the Bollywood film “Guru”. Pant was delighted after the win and gave the post a light-hearted caption as he even apologised to the three players who are senior to him.
