New Delhi: Axar Patel pulled off one of the catches of the ongoing T20 World Cup in India’s final T20 World Cup Super Eight game on Monday.
He took sensational one-handed catch to dismiss Australia skipper Mitchell March off Kuldeep Yadav, who was dismissed for 37 runs off 28 balls, including three fours and two sixes.
Smash tonked the ball but couldn’t get the satisfactory elevation but still it semmed enough to go over Patel’s head. But jumped and took a right-handed catch to reduce Australia to 87/2 in nine overs.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma blasted 92 runs off 41 balls, including seven boundaries and eight sixes to lift India to 205 for 5 in 20 overs.
Rohit smashed seven fours and eight sixes to become the first batter in the world to score 200 sixes in T20Is.
He also became the batter with most sixes against a single opponent in international cricket, hitting 132 sixes vs Australia.
Rohit is also the leading run scorer in T20I cricket with 4165, ahead of Babar Azam (4145) and Virat Kohli (4103).
