Jackpot! Rajasthan Gold Mine: This district to meet 25% of India’s gold needs

Banswara: Rajasthan Gold Mine discovery in the state’s Banswara district is expected to lead to a windfall for the state making it the country’s 4th state to mine the yellow metal. The precious metal, whose price has dipped for 2 straight days to Rs 72,380 per 10 gm for 24-carat gold, in Banswara will be mined by Saiyyed Owais Ali with MSTC registration number 502742 after they emerged as the preferred bidder for the Bukiya-Jagpura Gold and Associated Minerals Block in Banswara district.

Owais Ali emerged as the preferred bidder with the highest final price offer of 65.30 per cent, according to an official declaration by the Rajasthan government’s Directorate of Mines and Geology.

Rajasthan Gold Mine Reserves assessment

According to geologists, the 940.26 hectare area in Bhukia-Jagpura is expected to produce 113.52 million tonnes of gold ore. Out of this, the gold metal estimate was 222.39 tonnes. The Kankaria-Jara mine is expected to produce 1.24 mt of gold ore from 205 hectares.
