New Delhi: India will take on England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Providence Stadium, Guyana on June 27, Thursday. India are unbeaten in the ongoing T20 World Cup and will be aiming to take revenge of the semi-final loss against England at the T20 World Cup 2022.
India didn’t change their playing XI from the start of the tournament but will look to change their combination as Providence Stadium has provided assistance to spinners. India are playing with three spinners Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav. Shivam Dube didn’t made any impact in this tournament, skipper Rohit Sharma can bring his X-factor Yuzvendra Chahal to the playing XI.
England will also be keen to bring their speedster Mark Wood to their playing XI. Wood is benched after one bad game against West Indies in the Super Eight stage, he conceded 36 runs in his three-over spell.
India had a history of finding difficulties against rapid pace and skipper Jos Buttler might include Wood in their playing XI.
